A note from Andy McQuitty

I know what it’s like to feel stretched thin in ministry. You’re juggling the needs of your church, your family, and your own spiritual life. But you still wonder if you’re making the impact you hoped for. Leading can feel lonely, exhausting, and full of impossible decisions.

After 40 years of pastoral ministry, I started Kaleo Collective to solve one of the biggest problems I experienced. We’re creating a space where pastors like you are understood, supported, and equipped to thrive—not just survive.

Our cohorts bring pastors together in a community that supports you, strengthens your leadership, and helps you thrive without guilt or burnout. You don’t have to walk this path alone. If you’re ready to grow personally and serve your church and community more sustainably, I’d love to welcome you to Kaleo Collective.

Frequently Asked Questions

Kaleo cohorts are designed to encourage and refocus you so that you can lead from spiritual and emotional health, not exhaustion. Through regular time together and conversations around practical leadership, you’ll develop the skills to build a sustainable ministry. Your family, your church, and your community will feel the difference. Healthy pastors lead healthy churches, and we will help you become a healthy leader.

The habits and relationships you develop in your cohort aren’t just for the moment. They build endurance for the long haul of ministry. You’ll learn rhythms of rest, accountability, and spiritual renewal that keep you grounded and prevent burnout. Kaleo is about helping you rediscover a sustainable pace so you can finish well.

Joining a Kaleo cohort is an investment in your family and church because it gives them a healthier, more present pastor and spouse. The time you spend here replenishes what constant ministry demands often deplete. When you lead from renewal instead of exhaustion, everyone you love benefits.

Each Kaleo cohort is led by experienced pastors who have walked the same road you’re on. They’re leaders who know the weight, the calling, and the cost of ministry. They aren’t trendy influencers or consultants pushing their latest book. They’re shepherds who have been there and now walk beside others.

Every cohort is built on confidentiality, integrity, and shared faith in Jesus, our faithful shepherd.

Each cohort is made up of pastors who are in similar seasons of ministry and guided by someone who truly “gets it.” You’ll find a group of peers who speak your language, understand the unspoken pressures, and offer encouragement that goes deeper than surface-level advice.

It’s a rare space where you can be real without fear of judgment. Instead, you’ll find grace and understanding from pastors who experience the same weight of ministry.

Few things are more worthwhile than investing in your own spiritual and emotional health. The time you spend in a Kaleo cohort will give back far more than it costs — clarity, strength, and renewed passion for the work God’s called you to do.

Instead of adding to your burden, it creates margin and perspective so you can lead with purpose and peace. With just two 75-minute meetings each month, you don't have to neglect your church, family, or even your golf game.

Our desire at Kaleo is that the church board should pay for their pastor's subscription. We can talk with you to help you speak with your Board about how a Kaleo cohort is an investment in the health of the church by maintaining a healthy pastor.

what our members say:

“While Seminary is necessary for any good man to become a pastor, Kaleo Collective is required.”

We cannot lead our communities by ourselves.  Every pastor needs other pastors who have been in the trenches to help guide them in the good times as well as in the troubled times.  That is what you can expect from this ministry.

“Praise God for pastors helping pastors!”

“I am so grateful for being a part of Kaleo. As a pastor, we are all prone to busyness and burnout, and spaces like Kaleo – ones of encouragement, discussion, sympathy, and prayer – have become vital for establishing healthy rhythms of ministry for me.”

Taylor Terzek
Next Gen & Families Pastor,

“Kaleo's vision could not be more providential”

I am in my 57th year of active vocational ministry. And when Andy invited me to join him and a small group of peers, meeting regularly for mutual edification, I jumped at the Invitation. Just this morning I read the May/June CT 10 page article on ministry leaders giving up, walking away from the ministry. I thought, Andy’s Kaleo vision could not be more providential."

You’ve spent too much time trying to do this on your own.

You love your people. You preach, lead, care, and carry more than most ever see.

The expectations never end, the isolation cuts deep, and that quiet question won’t go away:

“How long can I keep doing this?”

Few people really understand what it’s like to carry the spiritual weight of leading a church. But you’re not alone, and you were never meant to do this by yourself.

When the pastor is healthy, the whole church thrives.

When you minister with joy and experience the encouragement of a supportive community, that ripple spreads to every family you serve, including your own. Your ministry was never meant to be endured. It’s meant to be lived in community.

Find rest, renewal, and relationships that will sustain you for the journey ahead.
